| Description: | Join Bernie and Terri Warburton as they travel along the scenic back roads of Route 66 from Seligman to Topock. Bernie says, "I am still going forward with the run, it is always fun to be with our group. All the motels, restaurants, and tourist attractions will be open and not as crowded. I am sure that there will be a small turn out, we are not the only club that wants to get out and get our KICK's ON ROUTE 66. I can see the reason for the association wanting to cancel it would back down on the crowd size. I think it will be safer and easier to park at the attractions. The itinerary is the same as posted. Wednesday April 28th Meet at Thanksgiving Point exit 284 by the water tower in the parking lot. Drivers meeting at 8:45 am depart 9:00am. Heading to Tonopah, Nevada. Lunch in Ely. We are staying at the High Desert Inn Tonopah (775) 482-3511 ask for Rachel $110.00 plus tax for cost of the rooms reserved under Corvette Club of Utah. Route I-15 to Santaquin US 6 to Ely US 6 to Tonopah 440 miles 7 hrs. Thursday April 29th Drivers meeting at 8:30am. Heading to Barstow, California. Via Death Valley we are staying at the Quality Inn on Route 66 in Barstow $69.00 plus tax (760) 256 6891 rooms reserved under Corvette Club of Utah. Tonapah to Death Valley Via US 95 and 190 to 395 Olancha CA to 15 to Barstow Route 66 336 miles 6 hrs. Friday April 30th Drivers meeting 9:00am heading to Kingman, AZ. Staying two nights at a Wayfaeer’s Inn Phone# (928) 753-6271 on Route 66 $115.00 plus tax per night reserved under Corvette Club on Utah. Rooms will be reserved under Corvette Club on Utah. Reservations must be placed by March 1st with this motel! Dinner at the DamBar at 6:45pm. I-40 to Kingman 210 miles 3 hrs. Saturday May 1st Drive to Seligman run Route 66 to Kingman, AZ. I-40 160 miles 3 hrs. Dinner at Oyster’s Mexican Restaurant in Kingman. Sunday May 2nd Drivers meeting at 9:00am Route 66 run to Topock and then off to Mesquite, Nevada staying at Casablanca Hotel and Casino (702) 346-7529 $74.00 plus tax for room reserved under Corvette Club of Utah. Reservation# 1CCU20. Kingman to Topock to Mesquite NV Via 95-I-15 6 hrs 300 miles. Monday May 3rd Drivers meeting at 9:00am heading for Salt Lake City. I will update this with the Routes and list or activities by mid February. I-15 to SLC. IMPORTANT You must register with club sign-up sheet online. I only have 20 rooms at each hotel.
