Hot Nevada Vettes is proud to host the 2010 WSCC Corvette Convention in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada May 5th-9th. This is the Corvette Convention you do not want to miss! An action packed weekend is planned for Corvette enthusiasts from all over the Western States. Last year 31 Corvette Clubs attended and this year we're expecting even more clubs. The events are highlighted with an all Corvette track day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and an all Corvette car show under the canopy at the world famous Fremont Street Experience. Whether you enjoy Corvette drag racing, poker rallyes, Corvette autocross or just socializing with fellow Corvette owners you find something to do at the convention. Be sure and check out our event schedule along with the other links so you get a sense of the fun waiting for you in Las Vegas. You'll see that there will be something for everyone! You don't have to be a member of WSCC to attend the Convention which will be the Corvette Event of the year.

Departure Plans and Agenda

Thursday, May 6, 2010 -
Our Corvette Club of Utah caravan to the Western States Corvette Council (WSCC) Convention will leave from the gathering location at the Chevron station just off the Thanksgiving Point/Alpine I-15 exit 284in Lehi, UT. Please arrive by no later than 8:45 am in order for us to pull out by 9:00 a.m.

A planned Code 100 (potty) break will be planned for Fillmore, UT at approx. 11:00 a.m. We will plan lunch, in your own chosen restaurant, in Cedar City between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.

More CCU members will join our caravan while passing through St. George and we will plan another Code 100 break in Mesquite, NV at roughly 2:30 p.m. Nevada time. We should arrive at the Tuscany Hotel Suites and Casino in Las Vegas around 4:00 p.m. local time.

NOTE:
While in Las Vegas, the time is yours to spend as you see fit. However, there are some fun events planned by WSCC at this four day convention that you will enjoy attending. You must be registered for the event in order to participate. See convention registration link above.

Thursday’s Plans, May 6 –
Upon arrival and following hotel check-in, we will plan to attend the Open Mixer at the Tuscany. The event runs from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Friday, May 7 –
There are numerous individual events planned for Friday. You can pre-register for these.* Our main CCU effort for Friday will be the set up and manning of our Hospitality Suite at the Tuscany. Each Corvette club attending is provided with a Hospitality Suite which can be decorated and operated by the attending club’s members. Our CCU Suite theme will be Las Vegas Roaring 30’s; ladies period attire, men ala Back Shirt and White tie (get the idea?). We will rotate our members in the Suite so everyone will have time to circulate throughout the other club’s Suites, visit, imbibe and party to your heart’s content. The Hospitality Suites are open from 7:00 p.m. to . . . whatever.

Saturday May 8 –
Saturday’s primary event is the Fremont Street Car Show 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (judging starts at noon). The Fremont Street Car Show Ends 3:30 p.m. This is a terrific function, you really don’t want to miss it. You must register for this event.* Following the show, the evening is open to you.

Sunday May 9 –
Sunday’s activities will center on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with Autocross running from 9:00 am – 3:00 p.m. Drag Racing at the Motor Speedway is from 10:00 am – 4:00 p.m. To compete, you must pre-register.* With standard event registration we are all welcome to go and watch. The Awards Banquet at the Tuscany begins Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with Cocktails; Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. You must be pre-registered for the Banquet.*
