| Description: | Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the fabled Route 66 and join Bernie and Terri Warburton on their annual Route 66 Fun Run! You must register with Route 66 Association www.azrt66.com Phone (928) 753-5001 Please tell them you are with the Corvette Club of Utah when you register. Wednesday April 29th Meet at Thanksgiving Point, Exit 284 by the water tower in the parking lot. Drivers Meeting at 8:45am, depart 9:00am. Heading to Durango CO, we will travel to Millers Travel Plaza in Wellington for a quick bathroom break, then on to Green River UT for lunch at the Tamarisk Restaurant stay, approximately 1.5 hrs. We will be heading to I-70 and back onto US 191 to Monticello and on 491 through Cortez CO and then Durango: 376 miles, time with stops about 8 hours. We will be staying at the Best Western Rio Grande Inn, 400 E. 2nd Avenue. Rates are $135 per room. On US 550 Heading to Farmington for a quick bathroom break and onto Shiprock on Highway 491 to Gallup NM where we will have lunch. I-40 to Flagstaff AZ. Take Junction to I-17, then take Exit 337 towards AZ 89A Oak Creek Canyon/Sedona. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express, rooms reserved under "Corvette Club of Utah." Rate $166.00. Use the following link: Holiday Inn Express Sedona - Oak Creek Friday May 1st Drivers Meeting 9:00am. Heading to Jerome AZ on 89A. Maybe lunch, look around, then leave heading for Seligman I40. Pickup our packets, check out the small-town, then back on I-40 to Kingman AZ. Staying two nights at the Kings Inn (928) 753-6101 on Route 66, $140.00 plus tax per night reserved under "Corvette Club of Utah." (If they are sold out there are also rooms blocked at the Ramada Inn 928-377-5391). We have dinner reservations at the DamBar Steak House. Happy Hour starts at 6:15 and dinner is at 7:00. It is located on Route 66: you won’t miss it or at least you shouldn’t. Saturday May 2nd Drivers Meeting at 8:15am. Heading for Seligman on I-40, 1hr and 15mins to start the official Fun Run, and be part of the festivities. All of your options will be discussed at the Drivers Meeting. This will be a fun-filled day with lots of cool cars and people. This would be a very good day for all of us to wear our CLUB T-SHIRTS. Feel free to join Terri and me for dinner at Oysters Mexican Restaurant and Cantina located within crawling distance of your room. We will be there at 6:30. Sunday May 3rd Drivers Meeting at 9:00am. We are heading for Oatman, Topock, and Mesquite NV. This is another day that we should be proud of our club and wear our CLUB SHIRTS. If you don’t have club attire, you still have time to buy some: Corvette Club of Utah Store We will be staying at the Casa Blanca. Room Rates for a King Bed $172.00, 2 Queens $156.00, 2 Queens not remodeled $126.00. A resort fee of $12.99 will be added.
